The latest issue of The Massachusetts Review includes my co-translation with esteemed colleague and friend Elton Uliana. Titled "The Woman Who Dreamed" ("A mulher que sonhava") by the award-winning author José Luís Peixoto, "one of the most surprising revelations in Portuguese literature" (José Saramago), this incantatory tale follows an elderly woman drifting in and out of dream and memory, as she goes about the small moments of her day in the nursing home. As a compendium to
the print issue, Mass Review featured Elton and me in an online interview, where we talk literary inspiration, translation, and past lives. To read more, pick up a copy of this stunning magazine, brimming with art and world literature.
